About Miller House
Miller House is a listed historic farmhouse located 45 minutes drive from Auckland Airport. The house and garden sit on 3.6 hectares of grounds with paddocks, 1.6 hectares of covenanted native trees and a stream, in the centre of a rural village.
Situated about midway between Auckland (55 minutes) and Hamilton (1 hour) cities, and just 14 minutes from State Highway 1, the property is within easy reach of all ongoing travel destinations. Taupo and Rotorua, Hobbiton, Northland and the Bay of Plenty.
Locally there are restaurants and shopping in Pukekohe, and a wide range of outdoor pursuits; visiting rugged black sand beaches, surfing, sky diving, waterlily gardens, guided cave tours, walks, bike and horse treks, and kayaking to name a few.
At Miller House owner and host, Hilary Smythe, is focused on making guests welcome. They can relax, play croquet or petanque, walk through the native bush, or just sit on the verandah, watching the native birds and enjoying the luxurious and pressure free surroundings that the property provides. The private dining room ensures guests have the accommodation entirely to themselves.

Please note this room is only offered in conjunction with the main Kaipo Suite, with which it shares a bathroom.
It has separate access through French doors to the garden, the bathroom and the private dining room. There is a concealed fully plumbed Victorian washbasin in the room.

Complimentary refreshments are offered on arrival.
With prior arrangement, and at additional charge, a platter, or an elegant but simple evening meal can be ordered and served in the suite, on the verandah or in the garden.
The suite has a full sized fridge and small microwave as well as the usual tea and coffee facilities, toaster etc. There is a charcoal barbeque available for guest use also.
Breakfast is extensive continental style with fruits, pastries, breads, cereal, yoghurt etc. With prior arrangement cold meats and cheeses, or sweet biscuits, tarts or cakes can be provided. Fruit from the farm orchard and free range eggs from the resident bantams all used when available.
It is requested that guest’s dietary restrictions are advised on booking so every effort can be made to accommodate these.

Check In and Out
Miller House only accommodates one party of two to four persons at any stage. To maintain this exclusive use please note the following;
Check-in time is 3.30pm (earlier with prior arrangement and subject to availability).
If guests are intending to arrive earlier than check in time could they please ring the day prior to arrival, to enable someone to be here to greet them.
Check out is 10.30am (later with prior arrangement and subject to availability)
Please note that late check-outs in excess of an hour can be subject to a small surcharge.
For guests arriving on the dawn flights in Auckland the Kaipo suite would need to be reserved for the previous night also, at the time of booking, to guarantee vacancy, and breakfast, early on the day of arrival.
