At Miller House you are surrounded by grounds in the classically relaxed English county style. Hilary is a landscape designer who studied with the designer John Brooks and with Rosemary Alexander, principal of the English Garden School, as well as traveling widely to study the gardens of Europe and Japan. She has created the garden at Miller House and continues to develop and refine it as areas change and the planting matures.

Aside from running Miller House, in her landscape practice Hilary has designed many multi award winning gardens for commercial clients such as Nivea and Michael Hill and created gardens that have delighted their owners both internationally and across New Zealand…from a window box…to extensive private sculpture parks. Now with more opportunity to dig out her own weeds the cattle wait expectantly for the bounty to fly over the fence.
